Cornerstones 6: Tools and Principles of Instructional Design

Authors
Description

Without precise and well-written learning objectives and outcomes, it is nearly impossible to get a learner from Point A to Point B. Learners need to know what instructors want from them; objectives and outcomes help do that. They also inform how instructors design learning experiences within lesson plans and are the basis for writing rubrics so that instructors can assess their students objectively and consistently. These, and other critical tools of instructional design, are reviewed and discussed here in the sixth course for Cornerstones: The ABMP Instructor Development Program.

Download the course handout for prerequisite information, the program’s recommended curriculum map, activities, and more.
