Massage Cupping: The Active Cup

In this presentation you will learn about the cup as a bodywork tool. Contrary to popular belief, using cups for bodywork often involves an "active cup," or one that moves and has purpose. We will discuss "intentuition," a knowledge-derived blend of intention and intuition that drives the intuitive process as a therapist works with the cups. The presentation includes comparison of traditional cupping therapies and current approaches to bodywork using cups. Shannon will address the concepts of "the fluid body," congestion, "solid bloat," and the applications of cupping therapies to these common conditions.
