Judith Aston is widely recognized as a pioneer in the art and science of kinetics for her discovery of the Aston paradigm and consequent development of Aston Kinetics, an educational system of movement and bodywork that aims to treat each person's body as unique to that person. Early in her career, from 1963 to 1972, Aston taught movement, physical education, and dance for performing artists and athletes. In 1968, at the request of Dr. Ida Rolf, she developed a movement education program for the Rolf Institute and taught this program for nearly a decade. Aston is the author of Moving Beyond Posture: In Your Body on The Earth, the Aston Postural Assessment Workbook, and Aston's Walking The New Body DVD. Today, she designs an array of ergonomic products and movement programs, and continues to teach Aston Kinetics training and certification courses worldwide. Learn more at www.astonkinetics.com.
